Eliza looked to me concerned, but took a deep breath and approached the machine, she began to get strapped in and I could almost hear her heart beating through her chest. Eliza was completely immobile and Brandon began talking,
"I am sorry Eliza but this has to happen if we are to defeat the vampire's and the Vatican" Eliza just nodded, Brandon began to recite what sounded like Latin and his hands where rubbing together, Eliza began to scream I could only look on, the temptation to stop him was clouding my mind,
Brandon's dark art is Blood manipulation he is heating her blood up which is causing extreme pain hopefully awakening the power within her Brandon is a master of his craft once he thinks she has reached her limit he will stop.
I turned to Brandon and said, "enough she is in to much pain.."as I shouted this Eliza let out a deafening screech and her whole body seemed to tense up, her eyes where pure white her hair was like it was submerged in water, Brandon had stopped his expression was that of amazement, he turned to me and said,
"Regnum it would appear we have found our first magic user, once a person awakens their power they will be able to wield it like they have known it all along, it is like learning to walk or talk, you seem to tick a box once learnt you never forget".
I scurried to Eliza who was panting and sweating in the machine I asked concerned "are... are you alright," she turned to me and between deep breaths said "I.. feel born again", Brandon interrupted, "Now then, Regnum", he gestured toward the machine and raised his brow, I took Eliza in my arms and looked at her and asked if she was definitely okay, she replied "excuses Regnum just get in the machine we have work to do", I smiled at her, and then took it upon myself to enter the machine. Brandon wasted no time and clasped his hands together, I tensed up and the pain was unbearable my veins felt ready to burst open and cover us in a crimson mist, then suddenly I felt calm, I was relaxed and in a dream like state, I looked to Brandon and asked, "I thought this was suppose to hurt..." he was just staring at me as was Eliza, I was confused and curious then I looked down to my chest and there was three runic symbols burned into my skin. Brandon quickly said "This is not possible... it really can't be"
"Brandon.. tell me what has happened, or so help me god I will strike you down where you stand" I replied with some intent. Before he could answer me we suddenly heard cries and screams, Brandon rushed to see what the commotion was, he shouted "Vampires... here but how, Eliza create a barrier", Eliza looked puzzled and said "How" Brandon replied, "What ever form of liquid you touch will become blessed there is a vial of water on the table use that!" Eliza put her hand in the water and it began to glow a brilliant white, "Now throw it toward the door" Brandon said quickly, Eliza grabbed the vial and did as he said, the water became crystallized and was contorting to match the shape of the door, just then, a vampire stood in the doorway gazing at us and howled bearing its fangs fresh with the blood of humans.
"So... are you going to tell me why I have three runic symbols in my chest" I asked Brandon, to which he replied, "oh yes about that......"
