Entry 10

When we entered the room our eyes had been deceived the area we was standing in was large in scale there was various tests and experiments taking place, potions bubbling smoke rising and the clatter of equipment being used,
"There will be plenty of time to look at our work but first come with me," Brandon said as he escorted us to a private office area, we walked in, there was books and manuscripts neatly arranged I noticed a very detailed drawing of the human anatomy, he asked us to sit down and offered us a drink, to which me and Eliza both said yes, Brandon sat at his desk and placed his glass of brandy down taking a sip then saying,
"The Vatican has been in league with the vampires for many years and now I will tell you both what you are so eagerly awaiting to hear, I am aware that you both have experienced how the vampires have begun to manipulate the elements, this has been what the Vatican has been keeping from the hunters, you see there is not only vampires and humans on this earth, there is also dark arts and magic residing in people that needs certain.... shall we say conditions to awaken, it is usually brought on my heightened emotions or traumatic experiences, the reason why vampires can wield the powers is because of a relic that the Vatican have kept secret for over 2000 years, this relic when touched can awaken the powers instantly but the relics power is to much for any human to withstand, the Gorey details need not be mentioned but it will end a humans life, are you both still with me?" he questioned,
"Yes because vampires are already dead the relic is powerless to stop them, the Vatican has always been impatient and this is reason enough to side with the vampire hordes, but why are the vampires hunting far more aggressively, I replied.
"The answer is simple, the Vatican is waging war on the world with a vampire army but they need human vessels to swell there ranks, The Vatican want to purge this earth of everyone and everything. they think that god didn't create the filth and mess that humans dwell in and believe that vampires are a gift from god, to start the earth anew, so Eliza, Regnum we have a experimental method of awakening your dark art or magic," Eliza interrupts,
"what is the difference?"
"Dark arts are just that, manipulating the dead. plague control, making people go insane manipulating the elements to your will this is why every vampire awakens dark arts because they are the embodiment of death and decay, where as magic is more pure and can effectively be used to heal wounds blind enemies in flashes of white light, there is no known person who has awoken the magic within them as there is no way we can anticipate what powers you awaken inside you until we at least try my method, I must warn you it will not be pleasant but it is necessary if we are to stand a chance against the vampires and the Vatican.
"Okay Brandon I am willing to try, the vampires are getting far to strong we have just been lucky in our encounters with them, one or two we can give them the final death, but anymore I feel we will struggle," Eliza agrees with me and Brandon takes us out of his office and we ascend a spiral staircase to a room with a contraption where I assume we will be getting strapped in I turn to Eliza and then look and Brandon and say,
"Well then lets get this over with"
